British fintech startup Opna raises $6.5M to boost global carbon project financing

Opna‘s vision is to unlock the needed capital for every high-quality climate project that addresses climate change with speed, scale, and equity.

It offers a climate financing platform that empowers corporates to discover, finance, and manage pre-assessed carbon removal and reduction projects to accelerate the journey to net zero.

Through offtakes and forward agreements, corporates can use Opna to deploy capital directly into carbon projects, providing essential upfront and scaling financing for these projects to come to life. By aligning corporate objectives with those of project developers, Opna creates a net new supply of carbon projects to accelerate our climate transition.
